Ellie's textile-based practice has become a way for her to collect her
thoughts surrounding craft, class, food and the everyday. Fast food motifs,
favourite meals and nostalgia all inform her making, resulting in soft, approachable works that encourage public interaction. She is keen for her work to play a role in the dismantling of archaic ideologies surrounding craft, and to help encourage a more personal experience of the gallery space, whether this be through workshops, discussion, or simply enjoying the feeling of wool between fingers.
