Queer Contemporaries is a showcase of LGBTQIA+ artists supported by Superbia and Manchester Pride. This digital exhibition brings together an eclectic mix of contemporary LGBTQIA+ artists across painting, sculpture, drawing, performance, film, assemblage and drag, for a snapshot of queer art in the UK today.
The gallery showcase of Queer Contemporaries begins on August 27th from 6-9 pm at AIR Gallery. If you would like to attend, please book a ticket to reserve your preferred time slot. All revenue from the bar and any donations made will be given to The LGBT Foundation to support the crucial work they do for our community in Greater Manchester and the North West. Please consider making a donation to them here on the website at the yellow button displayed, and check out how else you can support their activity on their website.
With special thanks to:
Chester Tenneson, Rosanne Robertson and Matt Retallick for their help with selection and continuous support throughout this exhibition, to Becky Wild and Alan Baker at AIR Gallery who have kindly provided a gallery space during these complicated times, to all the selected artists and artists who applied for giving us the pleasure of being introduced to their work, and to our friend and graphic designer Ben Daniel Wallace for giving this show a visual identity and helping us bring it to life.
